not bad

the beat is great, it has this nice liquid flow (maybe its more like liquid :P)

the vocals however, if you altered them with adobe audition id go easy on the echo chamber effects, they really mess up the clarity of the lyrics.. and otherwise try some filers or something to clear up that reverb

i like the instrumental version better as it is, but if the vocals on this one would improve itll defenitely improve alot

I did the reverb effect on purpose, through Ableton Live. I tried straight vocals on it and it just sounded weird. I don't have that strong of a lead voice, so I needed something to help me out. It works better than unfiltered vocals, believe me. But hey, that's why I uploaded the instrumental, too. I want everybody to be happy :) Thanks for the review.

well in my opinion the vocals arent as loud as they should be, the intrumentals seem to dominate the song,..

furthermore, some of the instruments werent what one calls harmonic, meaning that they didnt really fit together. Especially in the beginning the song seems out of pace, thats quite disturbing

Vocals too quiet: Mixing issue.
Instruments too loud: Mixing issue.
Poor harmonics: Song writing issue.
Out of pace: lack of a metronome.

Getting slammed on NG: Priceless.

Thanks for the review, mate. We've cleaned this one up a bit since recording, so rest assured that it's at least a BIT more harmonic now.

electric and acoustic dont mix

yet another proof, keep the poles apart, a little conflict is good, but this wasnt a golden combi

for the rest, a bit too simple, and the sudden switch at about a minute could be more subtile.

.48 is an awfull part,

As you asked, a review on how to improve your song

Youve put in a nice bassline, although it was way too basic, might me a job to work on
The overall melody wasnt bad, but maybe its an idea to throw in somewhat more contradicting aswell as a flinch of dynamics.
Also, the intro is defenitly something you should work on, im not feeling the fade in at all.

I must say i like the introducting pause a few secs afer the fade in, aswell as the melody. it could use some various high pitching, but thats my taste :)

not bad job at all, dont get me wrong. It has its moments, and im simply giving some personal advice ^^

You certainly overdosed the moaning, and the overall tune is catchy but a little simple if you ask me.. I do think that the moan at the ending was in place :)

it wasent bad, but not that good eighter, try to make future songs more complex, that way itll be more interesting and pleasurefull to listen to.

truthfully:

I never played supermario, but this song speaks to me in a positive way :)
the melody is very soothing

id keep it like this, because any drastic changes could ruin the song (for me that is:P)

could you give a little explanation on the title? i feel where your going, but i'd like to hear you personal view :)

I have no idea why i chose that title name, but it just came to me as i created this song. I think i chose the title because of the soothing melody. I'm still really not too sure...oh well, thanks for reviewing! Glad you enjoyed it!

i loved the intro, and the quiet tempo soothes me, but im afraid i cant really see the link with the title you chose
care to explain?

for the rest, might wanna give it a little more kick, heavier bassline and more of a buildup towards that expected climax, afer you warmed us up with that nice intro :)

the high tones are a bit disturbing considering the smooth relaxed vibe.
doesnt really fit

thanks for your response. sorry i haven't answered this recently, but the reason i chose to do the title like this is because i was doing my math homework when i made this song. sort of funny, but true. yeah, sorry, i cannot edit this anymore because i made this in the FL studio demo. I have gotten a lot better, and i am trying to post more stuff soon. hopefully it will someday make the front page.

Its not that im absolutely astounished, (excuse my english:P) but its quite pleasurefull to hear. it did kinda fail to keep my interest, but a great subconsious melody :)
maybe a bit more variety, and a litlle more kick, that is, if the song isnt supposed to be a touch melodramatic ^^

might i ask what the idea beneaht this song was?
i wish i could make such wonderfull music, but how simple it sometimes looks (not this one :P) its way hard -.-

basically, My friend and I were trying to work on a collaboration and this is what kinda came out. He worked on some parts and I worked on others. The inspiration probably came from being inside all day when it was too cold to go outside. Pack up the bowl, rip some samples off of some vinyl sitting around and work on it until 6 am the next morning. This was a fun project!
