i was just browsing the portal, and suddenly, i saw chzz! so i thought, i have to listen that :p

what i notice about your style is the always happy sound though the 8th notes you use (i do too). its not a bad thing, but id concider to expand your field of expertise by trying to achieve the same vibe with different methods.

this song is pretty good, the instruments fall together perfectly, and this would be called a succesfull experiment! its really smooth, it needs alot of attention to be heard properly..

anyhoo, good luck in future works of art, ill be there

nice, too bad the intro is too long/slow, its probably the reason your score is so low.. It seems people hear dont really take the trouble to accually listen to the entire song..
anyhoo, youve a great electric guitar, is it a synth or a recorded guitar?

Synth guitar. It's one of the preprogrammed sounds that my editing program had in it. I went with a clean electric guitar for the main base line, and added the distorted electric guitar later for the harmony. I guess if I had separated the song into 2 parts, it would have been more catchy (which I don't concern myself with being catchy, and obviously, I need to change that). Not much I can do about getting people to listen to the whole song up front.

its okay, but it needs dynamics, spunk, fire.. its too repetitive and stagnant..

I do like the range of chords you used, and the variation of instruments.

I'll make sure my next one has spunk pouring out of its ears, assuming that my music is a living creature. I tried adding that around the more louder parts. Next time I'll try add a percussion solo (Other then the shoddy one at 1:41-1:43).

well, it does have some jazzy elements, but id just throw it in miscellaneous if your not sure, it doesnt really matter anyhoo..

about the song, very nice, but even slayer can do better then that, you can tweak it so it gets cleaner :) if you still lack a microphone, try cuttermusic revitar 2.0, its the best (acoustic) guitar i know, but a decent electric one has yet to be made imo..

nice beats, i like the moog and piano the best..

anyhoo, for the song, great! i like the guitarsolo/chord progression at 1.54. there isnt really anthing wrong with this song, its the best its composer allowed it to be!

Thanks so much for going out of your way to review this! I was ecstatic to see this on the front page, especially for a song from '08. I've had 3 songs on the front page of NG or the AP in the last two weeks. It's really more than I could ask for.

A symphony is definitely something I could consider. In almost all of my songs, I have a completely symphonic part, because I always love the sound of strings.

pretty good, but the beginning was a little stagnant, and i believe i heard one or two false notes at .48 (which comes back as a loop thoughout the song)

i liked the speedup of the piano at 2.04, it really adds dynamics.

in general id consider throwing in a dominating instrument besides the pianos, to balance out the heavy background
i like the atmoshpere in this song, unique
